While enjoying our early evening meal recently, they did take a phone reservation for a party of 7 for later that evening.
Yes, call them for selection.
Over priced in my opinion.
Yes, it varies by availability
Clementine's offers a variety pies to soothe the soul. You can enjoyed your pie indoors or on the patio. Old fashioned service with wonderful geniality.
Yes
It's like going to grandma's house for Sunday dinner. Such great service and delicious food. What a treasure!
So good, Lots of food. Amazing pie.
Not many places you can order Liver & Onions anymore. Their's was delicious. . Tender, well seasoned, ample portion. And dinners include dessert !
Can't remember the name of this dish but it's amazing 😋
Great restaurant. Made out of a house. And don't forget the pie. They will bag the pie for you to take home if you are to full.
Lovely restaurant, my favorite place to get a steak. They bring out a relish plate which is delicious, and the pie here is also quite good. The ambiance is calm and quiet, and it's a great place to stop by with your family or friends on special occasions, or when you're just after a nice meal.
LOVE this place, love their fried chicken and all the lovely goodies that come with your meal PLUS PIE!!!
This place has been around forever for a reason and the decor not much of the staff hasn't changed a bit. Old time hospitality. Great homestyle hearty food and a huge selection of freshly baked pie to finish off your feast!
The food is amazing but the service massively lacks. It took 20 minutes just to order dessert in a dining room with only 1 other table in use
At their prices quality was decent, portions very small.
The food IS outstanding, the staff are very friendly. I tried the seabass, delicious!
Southern Fried Chicken... with fresh homemade pie? In California? Yep, bring your eating pants, they feed you here. Feels like home.
The best restaurant in the Carpinteria/ Santa Barbara area. I have been a customer for 17 years and go there often.Everything is homemade and I love the choice of at least 15 different flavors of pies for dessert. Actually, because they serve so much food, I take my pie home and have it with a cup of tea the next morning. From the owner (Lloyd) on down, the service is exceptional. My mom and I will be there 7/25/2020, she’s turning 94 and wants to be at Clementine’s; she wants Patty to serve us.
A throw back to the "good old days". A Solid Prime Rib Meal w/all the Trimmings including a wedge of Pie for Desert. We visitedon a Sat and even w/reservations had about 1/2hr wait... maybe weekends aren't the best time to visit if'n you're on a tight time schedule. 2 thumbs up for everything else.
The ambience is wonderful and the food is excellent! I had a filet that just melted in my mouth and was so delicious that I was very pleased! I will be back as soon as I can and whenever I can! Really a 5 star meal.
This was without a doubt the best fried chicken I've ever had in my life!
Love this place. Whenever I am in town I make sure to go there. The soup is excellent the steaks wonderful and the pie is amazing. I highly recommend it.
Great place for a night out with the wife.... She won't go anywhere else
Xena was a great server. The restaurant was a superb old school place. The fries chx and steaks were excellent. Highly recommend.Just an old school atmosphere.Cheers!
Awesome service and food
How fun and charming is this place!? Nice choice of entrees. Daily specials. Croudités complimentary upon seating. You can get a small dinner which comes with entree and salad or a large dinner which comes with a drink, salad, soup, entree and pie. Lots of fresh pies to choose from! Staff is friendly and helpful, very welcoming and makes you feel like family. We were the last diners in the place and the pleasant chef/owner came out and talked with us for several minutes. Will definitely return.
Incredible meals! Mouth watering pies! Fantastic service! This restaurant was nothing short of wonderful... Servings were bountiful, courses were well spaced, and the desserts were completely delicious!! It was more than a good meal, it was a memorable experience!!
We stopped in for a steak dinner. Outstanding service and delicious food. Felt like a home cooked meal. Definitely recommend you stop and try. Part of the dinner is a slice of pie; variety to choose from and they are made daily.
I just enjoy their dishes. I always get good customer service here. The place is neat and the employees are always nice. I highly recommend this place.
Clementine's is my favorite restaurant in Carpinteria, CA. Huge portions of tastiest fried chicken. Teriyaki steak melts in the mouth. Everything is homemade with hint of old fashioned. There's homemade pies to choose from for dessert.
Very quaint, very nice and good food.
Best fried chicken and homemade pies
Now, first of all, I'm a certified Cordon Bleu chef (very critical on food). Service was impeccable 👌. Food missed the mark. I had the sirloin tips; garvy thickened with cornstarch and the beef had no flavor. Wife had salmon, and although it was a big tail porton and grilled, it had no flavor! Pie for dessert was ok. Make better gravy people and season your food b4 grilling/braising.
Wonderful food and a very relaxed home style atmosphere. The staff are excellent. One of my favorite places for dinner.
Loved this place. It's like going to dinner at your grandma's house. Fantastic home made food, ample portions and every meal cones with home made pie for dessert.
Cozy with a homestyle atmosphere.
This was my first time at Clementine's Steak House. The atmosphere is as charming as the staff. It reminds me of going to my Aunt or Grandma's house. We came for steak and ordered filets. They brought a loaf of homemade bread and crudites - Really tasty. We wanted the petite order which comes with soup or salad, entree, baked potato, and homemade pie. The salad was crisp and delicious due in large part to the homemade salad dressing. So good! The filet was literally the best I can remember. The meat was so tender I literally cut it with my butter knife. It was juicy and delicious. The steak was amazing and they are famous for it as well as their friend chicken. I will definitely be back for some chicken!
I don't think I have ever been been so welcomed and taken care of in a restaurant ever, like I was at Clementine's. The staff were so incredibly warm and kind the moment we walked in. The decor is kinda kitschy, country styled, intimate, all at the same time. The meal started with a bowl of clam chowder and a salad with homemade dressing. The fried chicken was made fresh to order and was so tender, while the outside was well seasoned and crispy. The prime rib was juicy and cooked perfectly. The chef bakes fresh everyday a plethora of pies that you have the tough job of choosing one to finish off your meal. My husband chose the cherry pie that had the perfect ratio of tart and sweet. I had the walnut chocolate brownie pie that was simply to die for. Go for the food, but expect to be treated like family.
Hands down my favorite restaurant in all of Carpinteria/Santa Barbara/Montecito. We drove from San Diego and stayed the weekend just to eat at Clementines and we come back every couple years to have dinner and visit. Absolute best service, food and pie!
Best fried chicken anywhere
This restaurant is like a steak house in the 80’s. Dark, wonderful friendly atmosphere. Food was just wonderful. My waitress could not have been more welcoming and eager to share parts of her menu that were homemade and unique just to their establishment. It was a great and relaxing meal at the end of my long day.
Wow! The bread and pie alone are worth the trip!! The dinners are all home made, comfort food and delicious!! And did I mention the pie? Out of this world. Definitely worth pulling off the freeway!
The place to go in Carp for great food. Everything is made from scratch, from the salad dressing to the desserts, and the owner and staff will treat you like family. The fried chicken is delicious, and the rhubarb pie is the best I've had since grandma's many many years ago. Their baked potatoes have a unique taste and texture, I suspect they drop them into a deep fryer for a second or two before serving. Whatever they do, it works. The apple pie is darn good too. If I have any complaint at all, it would be the peeling paint and outdated decor, but those are minor quibbles considering the great food, huge portions, and great service.
Very good food with hi class service.
Good portions of food not a big selection of steaks for a steakhouse. I had the fried chicken because they didn't have rib eye and the fried chicken was really good and four big pieces oh and all the meals come with a piece of pie. And the service wad excellent
Great iconic restaurant tucked away in Carpenteria. Old timey fine dining. Outstanding food and service. Must have - pie, pie, PIE. HOMEMADE and INCLUDED IN PRICE!
One of the best meals I ever ate. The fried chicken is to die for.
We have been going here for many years. The service is terrific, the food is excellent, and the deserts! On any given night they have at least ten homemade pies. It is not a place to go if you want a fast food mentality. They don’t do that. Traditional and cozy.
Excellent food and even better service. The owner cooks everything from scratch and the staff makes you feel like home. Great overall experience.
An old-fashioned steakhouse unparalleled in the area. Great pies baked daily.
Very genuine and charming staff! You get much more then what you pay for! We really would recommend this place! Visiting from Sweden!
Super nice, friendly service. Good was ok, not wonderful but we enjoyed the simple fast service. We will be back.
Great People, food, & ambiance!!!!
Amazing place! I felt lime I was back in time at my grandma’s house and eating her food. Super cozy restaurant! The meals come with soup + salads + pie for dessert! The steak including all that is around 38 dollars we person! Will def come back!
With the prices being charged, I'm not sure why this place hasn't received a much needed renovation. The decor isn't cozy and quaint, it's old and run down. Given the state of the restroom, I don't what to imagine what the kitchen looks like. Some of the food was good, but most tasted like a microwave dinner quality meal. The staff was friendly and attentive.
